The Manacare Foundation has set up a variety of sustainable projects around the world to support the most vulnerable amongst us. Our previous projects in countries such as Siberia, Egypt and Sierra Leone are now almost totally self-sustaining and autonomous. Our current project in Sri Lanka was set up in 2004 immediately after the Tsunami. Using funds raised in Spain we were able to purchase the land and initial building materials to set up the Hopes and Dreams Village in Tellawatte. Hope and Dreams Village provides education, physiotherapy and social care to physically challenged adults and children. We also teach vocational skills and provide employment to the local community through our housemaid training courses and handicraft workshops. read more.
